Figurative League Vision Statement

We are a diverse group of artists dedicated to our work and supportive of one another. Individuals come with their own unique talents and experiences which together serve to create an energy that invigorates the group.  Throughout history, drawing the figure has been the foundation of an artist's study.  And the Figurative League is committed to continuing this tradition.  

Mission Statement

The Old Court House Figurative League was established to provide an affordable opportunity for a diverse group of artists to draw the human figure from life in a supportive environment by scheduling weekly sessions, year-round, at the Old Court House Art Center on the Woodstock Square.  Artists of different skill levels may choose to draw and/or paint clothed and nude models which are scheduled on an alternating-week basis.

Real People Exhibition

Every August/September, the Old Court House Figurative League presents a national juried figurative show, "Real People -  Celebrating the Arts through Faces and Figures."  The exhibition serves a two-fold purpose.  We are ale to spotlight figurative artwork with this outstanding exhibition and offer substantial cash prizes to the artists. Funds from the exhibition also allow the Figurative League to offer a year-round program of life drawing at reasonable rates for members and guests.
